Cooking games are very beneficial for speech development. Children name individual foods, learn to describe and distinguish them (“red pepper, green courgette, brown meat”). When playing together, they can form whole sentences: “Skewer the tomato, then the onion” or “My skewer is longer than yours”. These activities support vocabulary, sentence structure and dialogue. I recommend enriching the game with questions such as: “What will you cook next? Who gets the first skewer?” – this encourages active communication and imagination.
