The game trains visual perception and precise description – children look for what is different and learn to express it verbally (“This one is a different colour”, “There’s an eye missing here”). This develops vocabulary, sentence structure and the ability to categorise. Parents can add questions such as: “Why doesn’t this fish belong here?” or “How is it different from the others?” – the child learns to reason and express themselves in full sentences.
