Zanimatch is a game in which children look for pictures of animals on their cards and match them with a large card in the middle of the table. The winner is the player who gets rid of all their cards the quickest. The game is fast-paced, full of beautiful illustrations, and helps develop observation skills, speed and an eye for detail.

The game expands vocabulary with the names of animals and their characteristics. As they search for matches, children name the animals (“giraffe”, “dolphin”, “snake”) and learn to describe them (“it has stripes”, “it swims in water”). This promotes not only naming, but also categorisation and comprehension. Parents can ask questions such as: “Where does this animal live?” or “What sound does it make?” – helping the child practise sentence structure and expression.
