Role-play games are an excellent means of developing communication skills. Children can describe what they are doing with the dog (“I’ll comb your ears, I’ll trim your paws”) and invent dialogues between the customer and the groomer. Parents can enrich the game with questions: “How is the dog feeling? What shall we do next time?” – this naturally encourages sentence formation and vocabulary development.
