The DJeco toolbox with wooden tools gives children a real taste of DIY. Inside, they’ll find a hammer, a saw, a drill, pliers, a screwdriver and cards with pictures of broken items that they can ‘repair’. Everything is stored in a sturdy wooden case that children can easily take with them wherever they go. The game promotes fine motor skills, logic and imagination.
Why children will love
it • real wooden tools in a beautiful case
• the chance to play at being a repairer and imitate adults
• task cards make the game even more fun
• development of fine motor skills, imagination and role-play
Opinion of speech therapist Mgr. Daniela Pravcová
Playing at being a repairman is a great way to develop communication skills. Children can describe what they are repairing and what tools they are using (“There’s a broken table here, I’ll take a hammer”). Parents can guide the conversation with questions such as: “What needs fixing? Which tool will you use?” – the game thus naturally combines vocabulary and sentence structure practice.
