Games where children must act slowly and precisely help develop not only motor skills but also speech. When pulling out the bricks, they can describe their actions (“I’m pulling out the red brick”, “now it’s the green one’s turn”), thereby practising their vocabulary and sentence structure. Parents can guide the game with questions such as: “Which brick will come out next? Why did you choose it?” – this helps develop the ability to explain, justify and narrate.
