The Moulin Roty projection torch creates little bedtime adventures at home. Simply insert one of the picture discs, shine the light onto a wall or ceiling, and the story can begin. By turning the front of the torch, you can focus the images and children will instantly find themselves in the world of a family of mice. Projected stories naturally develop children’s speech. The child describes what they see, learns to link pictures into a story and understand sequence (first – then – finally). I recommend asking simple questions whilst projecting: “What happened next? Why is the mouse happy? How will it end?” In this playful way, you support vocabulary development and the ability to express themselves in full sentences.

Getting started
• Before first use, remove the protective plastic strip from the battery compartment to activate the battery.
• Select one of the projection discs.
• Insert the disc into the slot in the projector torch.
• Switch on the torch and shine the light onto a wall or ceiling.
• Turn the disc to project the individual pictures of the story one by one.
• Adjust the focus by turning the front part (head) of the torch until the picture is sharp.

Recommendations for the best projection
• Project in a darkened room for better visibility of the images.
• The ideal distance from the wall is approximately 0.5–2 metres.
• You can accompany the images with your own narration of the story.

Safety warnings
• Do not shine the light directly into the eyes.
• The toy contains small parts – use only under adult supervision.
• Do not expose the product to water or moisture.
• Do not insert any objects other than the supplied projection discs into the product.
• If the product is damaged, stop using it.
• Batteries should be replaced by an adult (where replacement is possible).
• Do not dispose of used batteries in normal household waste.
