: Building a miniature house gives children the opportunity not only to develop their fine motor skills, but also their speech. They can describe the individual steps (“I’m gluing the table”, “I’m painting the roof”) and, once finished, make up stories featuring the figure. Parents can ask: “Where does the character live? What does he do in his house?” – this naturally helps to practise vocabulary, sentence formation and the ability to tell a coherent story
